This was never in my blood. My work began as a choice, and I found serendipitously through the process of building, silent answers to silent questions. How do we offer explanation to words like 'function,' like 'significance?' How does one quantify 'purpose?' "What is more or less than a touch?" said Whitman. If you know, don't tell me. I construct work at the crux of two opposite truths; that either everything holds with it a meaning, or nothing does. I am restlessly at home in the space created by that balance. My work is introspective, unadorned. I seek to build pieces that are deliberate and subtle, that stand in rhythmic silence out of the wilds of my interior.
